    Humming Noise

I've notice that my Evoque when cruising between 35mph-40mph with the foot off the pedal, than press the gas very slightly there is this humming noise coming from the rear of the car (very noticeable). You can also feel a slight vibration in the cabin when it does that (through the pedal and steering wheel also). Doesn't do it all the time though. My car is at the dealer since Friday for that and other things but just checking to see if anyone has had something similar.

    TIA!

same thing with mine...seems like a loose heat shield on exhaust...I have yet to investigate this further...let me know what your dealer finds.

Got my car back this morning and the dealer techs couldn't find anything wrong. Of course on my way home, the humming noise occurred. Will continue to monitor it.

The noise is still there but I haven't had a chance to go back to the dealer. The last time I had the car at the dealer over night they couldn't find anything.

    ***UPDATE***

I stopped by the dealer this morning and had one of the techs hear it again. He knew right away what it was as he said all the PTI Evoques he's driven has the same vibration/humming noise coming from the transmission tunnel. He said it's most likely when the torque converter locks up is when the noise is occuring. He says there is nothing wrong with it although it's only the Evoque's he tested has this noise. He also mention maybe call or email Land Rover and let them know so hopefully there will be a fix. Again.....there is nothing wrong but it's still not right to have this vibration for a $50k-$60k+ vehicle. I'll probably call Land Rover and let them know. Possibly those who have this vibration/humming noise do the same so they will do something about it.

Thank GOD I ma not the only one. I thought I was going crazy and starting to knit-pick. I never noticed it before until yesterday when I was driving. Exact same thing at same speeds when I let off the gas then lightly get back on it. That humming and buzzing sound was getting me nervous. But I just thought it was the trans figuring out which gear to select, since it was kinda between speeds. But once you get on the trottle more and it changes gear it goes away quickly. never happens on the highway ever and I just got off the highway and it seemed to go away completely. I usually drive my cars hard and I generally speed so going 35 isn't gonna be happening much anymore. But if anyone else notices it please post and if Land Rover finds a Fix please do tell. Thanks Everyone!!!!! Thought I was losing my mind for a minute there???!!!??!??!!!?

Okay, I feel a bit silly, but which Evoques are the ones that are experiencing this issue? "PTI" stands for what? Which country are you writing from? I am curious if the North American versions (2.0L 4-cylinder 240hp) are having the issue.
    Thanks.

From Chicago which means the Si4 engine auto tranny. PTI stands for dealer's pre test inspection for new vehicles once it arrives and before selling to the customers.
