16" wheels instead of 20"
is sounds maybe crazy, but I wonder if the ride on rough roads (I am living in South Africa!) on smaller rims 16" with more rubber, say 245/70; than the standard 245/45 R20?? Surly it would not look as sexy as them big 20" but obviously the ride would be more comfortable. Any suggestions???

Did you ever decide? If not, you might be Lo le to go 18 inch & increase the aspect ratio enough to add a little cush. There will be more all terrain tire options as well. Any smaller wheel size Will proably create brake clearance issues.
You shouldn't have to stop just because the pavement does! 2012 Range Rover Evoque Pure Plus Coupe, 2009 Land Rover LR2 HSE traded, 2008 Land Rover LR2 SE traded.
Hello there! I myself got rid of the stock 19" and replaced with 17" wheels and tires. The potential problem with going 16" is if the brake pads will now fit (ie:clear). I fully recommend going with proper off-road tires as per what you are thinking.
