I am having issues with my coolant level it drops far below minimum every other day in the last few weeks and there are no signs of leaks can anyone advise what to do thanks
Sometimes when a head gasket goes bad the coolant can leak in to your combustion chamber or oil. Check the oil for a sweet smell or if the oil looks unusual (kind of milky). If it is leaking in to the combustion chamber you could see white smoke from the exhaust or coolant smell in the exhaust. Hopefully it isn't a head gasket because that is a fairly big repair. Is it possible that it is leaking onto a hot surface so you just don't see any evidence of leaks? Try to familiarize yourself with the smell of coolant and get out and smell around the car while it is hot and running and see if you can smell it. It has a fairly strong and distinct smell.
Thanks a lot dropped of vehicle yesterday with my new mechanic ( Gave up on Range Rover dealership here) ; they discovered it was leaking onto the chassis via hose to the ac heating line when system was pressurized
