Hissing wheel noise?
Im new to the site from Australia. Got an SD4 for just over a year now.
Has been great but small niggling issues here n there.
A couple that I have been getting nowhere with the service department.
First one is that the steering wheel controls (audio and phone) on the left hand side of the steering wheel intermittently stop work every now and then. Dealer has tried fixing 3 times with no luck. Anyone else with this issue?
Other is a tad more mechanical and im not sure if its me being tedious. When the car is coasting (particularly after it has been driven for a while) there is a hissing noise coming from the wheels. Sounds exactly like a car sounds when it needs new brakes. To me it's quite loud and can hear it clearly particularly if in a car park or the like. Dealer insists that this is normal for these cars and that it is something to do with the discs and some may do it louder than others. I told them this was crap as if it was normal, it shouldnt be louder in some than others. It's been in for checking 3 times and they insist it is normal. I told him I was not happy with this and he is writing to LR Australia to see what we can do next. Anyone else with a similar noise? If so, do you think it is normal?

I have the same noise. Thought it was the pads but its not being that i just replaced them and I still hear it.
On some road surfaces the stock Continental tires make a hissing noise.
I have the same issue. My vehicle is only a few days new to me with 7k mi. I am taking it in for a windscreen replacement. I will check with them and report back.
You probably need to flush your power steering fluid, it's arguably the most neglected fluid on any vehicle.
