I am going to ask my LR mechanic friend to help me with my 2nd oil change privately
but I am just wondering, will using aftermarket oil filter (let's say K&N or Mobil 1) void my evoque's warranty?
I was told to only use OEM while it is still under warranty.
This is something that the dealer may be able to answer as well Topix has warranty information that may help .However I just installed an Ecogard air filter and side by side with the OEM it was identical in every way. The filter material pleat size and gaps were the same. I will see if I still have it and post a picture. For the oil filters I have not verified however they should have the same specs (bypass valve etc). One thing that I would consider is a long life oil filter (with large filter media) is needed due to the long service intervals for the evoque.Due to distances to dealers and inconvenience I perform all required maintenance for my vehicles.

Document your services and parts purchased while your Rover is under warranty. You can use non-oem without voiding the warranty...unless you are modifying!

Can this be added as a sticky?
