Paint prematurely fading....what's up with this?

I baby my car and wash it by hand weekly and clay/wax it on a monthly basis.
Though my 2013 Evoque is kept outdoors, I started noticing the last few months that the paint on both "A" pillars is starting to fade.
We live in the San Diego metro area and not in the desert.

Has anyone seen the same thing on their Evoque?
    Solutions anyone?

Wow no clue... I have 2013 that I've had since 2012 and have not experienced this. But mine is kept in a garage though. Shouldn't need paint job at 3 years old. Are you out of warranty?

Not sure if it's fading or the clear coat failing. Have the dealer take a look at it for sure. Barring any solution from the dealer, since you're in San Diego, Wes at Elite Finish Detailing may be able to clean that up.

I believe you might be right about the clear-coat dissipating as time progresses.
Now I am seeing it on the rear factory spoiler....

Wondering if anyone else out there is having the same problem?

Not seeing it on my Evo, but we did have this happen to our Civic. Honda re-painted it for free. Have heard from others (different cars) who've had good luck getting dealers to take care of premature clearcoat failing.

Dealer said they need to check it out...they say the "A" pillars on the Evoque are plastic. (what covers the metal)

Hmm -- I have a 2013 Dynamic, Malibu. So, near the sea and it sits out in the hot sun all day. No issue.
