    2103 Evoque Turbocharger Replacement

My engine light came on and I had the code ran, it says turbocharger has gone bad. Has anyone experienced this? Cost to have it replaced? Possibility of DIY? I'm struggling a bit with the whole idea.

Mine went out during warranty at about 30,000 or so, I think it's not uncommon.

Perhaps the result of the recommended 16,000 mile oil change and / or a cheaper, lower quality non full synthetic oil used and / or wrong viscosity. How many owners know for certain what oil is actually used to fill their motors, regardless of what the owners specify?

I was told my a service guy that cars with turbo's should always be idled for a short time before shutting down===to not donthis causes the oil in the line (that is not circulating) to burn and harden up----not good forthe turbo.
