2018 Evoque Oil Filter location
I am a hot rod guy and wanted to change the oil in my 2018 Evoque 4cyl. Went to the parts store purchased oil and filter per their books. Spin on filter. Car is in the air on ramps and for the life of me I cannot find the filter? Am I blind? Figured a google search would reveal. NOTHING. Someone has to have changed their oil by now? Clues, picture anything?

Are you buying the special oil required per the manual? SAE 0W-20 meeting Jaguar Land Rover specification STJLR.51.5122
I believe only Castrol and Mobil1 make an oil meeting this spec, and it's quite pricey.
Search Youtube, there is a video on there showing the location of the oil filter. It's a PINA to get to, and you will get covered in oil...
I realize this post is old but wanted to reply. I've also been having a hard time finding info about this car and jumping through the same hoops.

The oil filter is a cartridge filter. The oil cap requires a 65mm 14 flute tool.
The oil filter isn't underneath on the 2.0L Ingenium engine. It's located on the passenger side of the engine bay near the firewall.
I'm currently putting together a DIY video on the oil change. I'll post it as a reply in this thread, on the main page, and on some of the other Evoque forums.
