Buzz and Rattle Update
Just wanted to share some info re the infamous buzz and rattle phenomena.
After spending a long time on this, the crew at Sudbury went deep into the trunk and ripped off every panel. They discovered that the electronic brain is stored there,(to a large extent). Further, there are numerous harness and clips which directly abut the chassis and can transmit noise directly into the rear of the cabin. They've insulated, tied down and padded everything possible; hopefully this will minimize/solve/reduce any noise.
They also found a loose heat shield present in my vehicle which added to the problem.
Since noise can be conducted almost everywhere, it is a pain to track it down and pinpoint it.
Just wanted to share it with you in case you're having to drive radio on/radio off to avoid rattles. Perhaps something to relate to your tech.

Thanks for that info; My Evoque is back at the dealer for this rattle problem. They are , as we speak, replacing the window rubber surround; If that does not work (& I have my doubts) then I will ask them to try this. Thanks.
It would be nice to know which clip, connector, plug, harness, etc. is actually causing the noise! Hopefully the deeper they dig the culprit will become obvious! Intermittent noises drive me nuts!
