What should we try to negotiate on 2013 Pure Plus?

Hi - new member here who is so excited to be buying an Evoque Pure Plus. The one on the lot at the dealership is as follows:
    MRSP: $41,145
    Pure Plus Package: $2000
    Navigation:$1750
    Climate Package: $1000
    Sirius Radio: $1000

Total price: $47,540 (including $895 transportation fee)

We plan to shop on Saturday Nov 30th and will finance through dealer and possibly trade in an old minivan (if they will even consider it!?!). What sort of discount off MSRP should we try for? If we don't get more than $500 off, I think we might hold out for a 2014.

Thanks so much. I have already learnt so much from this forum.

Aprox 1 yr ago I purchased a PP in the Boston area for 3k off sticker and at that time inventory on the dealers lot was very low(4). Currently they have 26 2013 evoques listed w 4 being PP. Best of luck shopping.

    I wouldn't pay over $44k for it.

Hmm - looks like we have some serious negotiating to do.

On a similar vein, we plan to finance with them for 1.9% APR for 60 months. Does anyone know what they are likely to add on as a loan origination fee? Just trying to figure out in advance where they will try to make up for lost profit.

    What state are you in?

It's the end of the month, getting to the end of the year, and the 2014 models are just around the corner. They desperately want to get their current stock out the door.

I'd offer them something like $46k out the door to start with and settle at something around $47.5k(assuming you're in a state like California that pays 9% sales tax. Reduce accordingly). Don't accept them trying to tack anything on like a loan origination fee. If they won't play at those numbers, walk out the door. They'll call you by about the time you get to the parking lot.

Thanks mllcb42. Sounds like we should be able to negotiate a pretty good deal and we're in no rush.... (other than me being impatient).

    A follow-up question:

I would like our Pure Plus to have a factory-installed Navigation System. Can someone tell me whether we need to get the $1750 HDD Navigation w/ virtual CD player as an add-on or does the Pure Plus come with a basic navigation system in the $2000 Pure Plus Package. I was a little confused reading this on-line.
    Thanks.

The pure plus package gets you the full leather, the panoramic roof, the fog lights, and a couple of other little things.

For $4k, the premium package gets you the Nav and
    TMC - Dynamic route guidance
Voice control - "Say what you see" intuitive voice control (SWYS)
    Passive keyless entry
    Loadspace Stowage Rails
Surround Camera System with Towing Assist
Audio System - 825w Meridian Surround Sound System with radio and single slot CD player
    MP3 disc and file compatibility
    Subwoofer and 16 speakers
Headlamps - Automatic Adaptive Xenon HID with LED signature lighting
    Automatic headlamp leveling
Headlamps - Automatic High Beam Assist

Or you can forgo that stuff and buy the nav as a stand alone(and you can get the lights as a stand alone, etc)

So will there be no loan origination fee at all? Just wondering where they make their money on financing other than interest.

If you agree on an out the door price, it doesn't really matter. If they want to knock more off the price of the vehicle to wrap in a loan origination fee or they want to forgo it, doesn't make a difference.

I didn't have a loan origination fee on my purchase.
