Hi, new to LR, traded a Lexus NX200 FSport Turbo for 2015 Evoque Pure model. Love the Evoque but have 2 questions: 1. How many batteries does it have? I'm getting a warning that battery will fail soon and I understand there is a secondary and/or auxiliary battery. Are there 3 total? How do I determine how many batteries I have? 2. The suspension is driving me crazy! The Lexus was smooth and luxurious. Very rough ride in the Evoque especially on bad roads. Any remedy? Can I change out the suspension or is it just built that way? If changing suspension what is involved? I'm learning but know little about suspension. Thx!

Welcome to the forum!

While Land Rover does things differently for different markets, as far as I know, the 9speed auto cars do NOT have the axillary battery located below the glove box, just the 6 speed transmission cars.

If you have a look at the thread below, it has pictures of the second battery for stop/start. Should be easy to see if your Evoque has one.

One of the most common causes of complaints of harsh ride is over inflated tires. Might want to check your pressures, easy and doesn't cost anything. Just a thought:)

Rsquared, thanks kindly for your response! Canada here, you're in the US? I figured out that my 2015 is a 9 speed so based on your advice I have no auxiliary battery below glove box. Do I have a secondary battery under the hood next to the main batter? I'm thinking that one may be going...

I have changed tires, changed rims, adjusted tire pressures and had the suspension looked at by LR dealer to no avail. "Nothing wrong with suspension" is what I'm told but SURELY the car didn't drive this rough out of the factory so something has to be wrong. If you have any suggestions, would appreciate hearing them :)

Thanks!
MM
