2015 Evoque TurboCharger replacement cost 10K

It definitely does not warrant a 10k replacement! The problem is that LR only sell the turbo assembly with the manifold and turbo. They do not sell just the manifold. But even if you buy the entire assembly from LR, a $10k quote to replace it is ridiculous. But of course like you have stated you can get the cast manifold for cheap (that is what I have now).

2015 just turned 80000 miles on it. I had it up on the backyard buddy today it looks good and it sounds fine but the check engine lights come on twice in three days. I've bin nursing it though error code P00299; Hole in turbo charger tube from manifold, split turbocharge dump valve diaphragm, or seized turbocharge are suggested possibilities. I could not see the manifold cover from underneath it. Trying to figure out how to upload the video.
Send me a DM with your email address and I will send you the turbo section of the 2015 manual if you want.

I purchased an e manual but it's like 5000 pages and nothing looks the same as on the car. I'm in Allentown PA. Just started getting engine light and the code for turbo. eBay has them for$250. Did the radiator last week quite the learning experience just went off you tube. Can you send me the service manual section for the turbo do you just need my email. Just signed up so not familiar with the rules here.
What year is your Evoque?

Includes turbo & manifold. Not sure, my guess its aftermarket? But now the check engine light is on. Any idea why?
Do you know what the code is? It could be a number of things. They could have left off or incorrectly hooked up a vacuum line, they could have left the connector off of the vacuum solenoid, they could have not adjusted the wastegate actuator arm to close the wastegate at the same vacuum as the previous one and resulting in over or under boost. I got a code a few weeks after I replaced mine and it was because I had pushed on the connector for one of the O2 sensors but not all the way until it latched. After a few weeks of driving the connector had vibrated loose. Do you still feel like you have full power?

I have heard of a few attempts at a lawsuit over the failed manifolds on the 2.0L Ecoboost engine Evoques. But I have never heard of a recall. I think I remember hearing something about a recall on 2020-2024 Evoque Turbo oil delivery pipes, but that is it.

76K miles, and not sure about quality oil changes? I use Oil Changers. The car makes a whinning noise when you accelerate. And they only said its the turbocharger, needs replaced, 10K and that's about it.
This is how mine sounded at around 52k miles when it failed. I had reduced power and a P0299 DTC (Turbocharger/Supercharger A Underboost Condition)

I'm sure there are instances where the turbochargers last to 150k miles, but it seems most have the manifold crack issue even before 75k miles. Proper maintenance and care can definitely extend the life of the cartridge/turbine part of the turbo, but there is little you can do to prevent the manifold from cracking since it is just a poor design.

Took my Evoque to the dealership, was told I need a new turbocharger and it would cost 10K. Doesn't sound right, and the mechanic didn't seem like he wanted to take the time to pinpoint the issue. Should I do the work myself, find another dealership/shop, ideas on the best place to buy online a new turbocharger? HELP!
Back in 19 I was quoted $4k for the dealer to replace my turbo. I have heard of people being quoted more than that but never as much as $10k. I purchased one with a cast iron manifold (so it wouldn't crack again) for about $1k (you can get them cheaper) and replaced it myself. I purchased and installed a lift ($2k) and spent $1k on the turbo. So I saved $1k, got a lift out of it, and I have a turbo that should last longer than the Land Rover one. A lift makes it easier but many have done it without one. It isn't a trivial job but it is far from being difficult if you are a competent mechanic.

I have the 2015 LR Service manual and if you decide to do it yourself I can send you the section that covers the turbo replacement if you want. The manual used to recommend taking off the bottom subframe which is fairly involved, but now the manual details removing it from the top of the engine. I took my exhaust and driveshaft off along with the right wheel well and brought it out the back. But I have heard of some removing it from the right wheel well just using jack stands.
