My Evoque has noise and drag when turning right or left. Is this normal for all wheel drive cars?
When turning it groans and feels as if the brake is on. Once straightened out it excels perfect. It only has 51k !

I have the same experience as you did on a 2014 evoque, ~50k miles but I think it started at around ~37k miles. it was never resolved. in my case it didn't get worse so maybe that's good news.
