Anyone know what the maximum tire size is for the Evoque?

I would like to put some 265/40/20s on mine if I can.

And of course, finding any after-market rims is another story

In Finland, according to my Evoque's registration documents, the biggest officially accepted tire size for Evoque is 245/45R20.

but the Evoque comes with that wheel size and there appears to stil be quite a bit of room in the wheel well. It must be possible to get a bit more rubber in there.

My Evoque Dynamic came with 235/55 R 19 wheels...

what I meant was that the 245/45/20s is a factory tire (as well as your 19s).

My question is: can we go beyond the stock sizes? and if so, how far?

I just noticed on Tire Rack (Tire Rack - Your performance experts for tires and wheels) that they have a small assortment of 19", 20" and 22" wheels. At least it's something for now.

The size of the tires is partly due to the width of the wheel. Obviouslythere are other factors as well. Go to Tire rack. If you find a tire you like go to the "Specs." ,under the picture of the tire, section and you'll see a recommended wheel width required for each tire. Putting tires designed for 10 inch wide wheels on 8 inch wide wheels is not a good idea!
