Greetings all,

Just picked up my first Evoque - 2012 2.0 Petrol Auto 6 speed.

A little fumey in the cabin occasionally. I have a fresh Pollen/cabin filter on order and I note that common issues include leaky exhaust/broken turbo manifolds. Upon calling a Land rover specialist to inspect for leaks, he basically forwarded me back to landrover with this issue.

I actually don't think I have an exhaust leak, and I've noted that the cabin filter has been superseded several times, so looks to me like the cabin filtration needed some upgrades over the years. Is that the understanding on the forum, or do we know of any recalls etc etc? I've got no engine lights by the way, typically I'd expect an exhaust leak to be identified by the comparison of the pre-cat and post-cat 02 sensors. Also no evidence of one under the hood yet.

Replaced the pollen filter. the $27AUD activated filter was heavier than the old genuine Land Rover filter, (read into that what you will), and the stock filter looked about 100 years old. Quite fresh inside the cabin now. 20 minutes to install it. Typical dealer serviced car.

Hi Squibby,
When you start the engine, don’t switch on the climate control/ ventilation. Ones the engine is running at normal temperature, then use it as you wish.
