Got my Evoque 9 months ago. I have had display problems intermittently every month. I will start the engine and when the display comes up the Audio/Video segment is greyed out, not functional. The Nav & Phone segments are lit but not functional as in I can select Nav and it will go to the agree statement which I select agree and it moves to the "initializing" segment and will not move beyond that segment. When I select the Phone option nothing happens beyond it saying "please pair phone". The first several times this happened the display would start working after the engine was shut off overnight but this last time it shut off 2 weeks ago and will not come back on. I have tried disconnecting/reconnecting battery cables, disconnecting just the ground cable. Checked fuse. Disabled bluetooth on phone also doesn't help. Backup camera does work but I have no sound with it. All buttons on the left side of display work: Setup, System etc, I can adjust clock etc. but I have no functions from right side buttons of display. Then yesterday when I tried to start the engine a notice said "smart key not found" well I did have smart key, thats how I got in! Held smart key in my hand and tried to start engine "smart key not found" again. So I hit the unlock button on the smart key remote and I heard the clicking of the doors unlocking and wha-la the engine starts. I happen to live 450 miles from my dealer/service dept so I would like some assurance they have an idea of what to do to fix the issue but after speaking with them several times they have no clue. I just live too far for them to tell me to just "drop by" so they can "reset" the computer. So am I looking at a 450 mile drive without audio, a day to diagnose problem, a day or 3 to order & get parts & a day to fix problem and then 450 mile drive home? I have been waiting 3 days for a call back from Land Rover. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.
