Sweet, thanks for that. Smaller then I was hoping for... but I guess I need to see it in person.Specs from the LR website gives the 5-door a Length of 4365mm; Height 1713mm and width 1965mm (excl mirrors). This compares to a Freelander 2's (LR2) specs of Length 4500mm; Height 1740mm and width 2005mm (excl mirrors). So yeah, it will be smaller than a Freelander 2 (LR2). Boot space is supposedly similar to the BMW X1 at 420 litres.
Same here. The LR2 doesn't seem that small of an SUV to me, but I'm worried that the Evoque will.Sweet, thanks for that. Smaller then I was hoping for... but I guess I need to see it in person.
That's a good question! For the price you'd think it would have to be a bit larger and compete directly with the X3 and Q5.So who are the competitors for the Evoque? I read that it is pitched at the X3 and Q5 (and certainly looks that way price-wise), but in terms of size, it is up against the X1 and Q3. Would people pay a premium for a smallish SUV? Certainly seems that way if the orderbooks are anything to go by.
The 3dr is the about size of the nissan qashqai mabey slightly taller, and the 5dr is a little bit taller still, not a very big car however the cabin space is very clever as it still maintains very good ground clearance because it sits on 18" alloys, its very good the way the space has been designed to have enough space inside but still be light and have enough clearance to pass as a land rover, I have been lucky enough to see and have a look around a few.... Perks of living near one of the JLR test drivers who has a different variation each night of the week. Any further queries i probably will be able to help.I'm having a hard time figuring how large, or small I should say, it is. Are there any pictures out there of an Evoque next to another compact SUV or maybe a Range Rover Sport or Cayenne?
Wow thanks for the info! Can you snap some pics next time? The 3dr is the about size of the nissan qashqai mabey slightly taller, and the 5dr is a little bit taller still, not a very big car however the cabin space is very clever as it still maintains very good ground clearance because it sits on 18" alloys, its very good the way the space has been designed to have enough space inside but still be light and have enough clearance to pass as a land rover, I have been lucky enough to see and have a look around a few.... Thanks for the pics! I went head and added some photos with the IMG tags so that they would embed properly for you
Have you ridden in the car? If so, how's the ride?
Haha you've got that right!Nope unfortunately I haven't quite plucked up the courage to approach the guy, the best it has got is sneaking a few snaps at night when its on the road and not in his garage hidden
Would love to get a ride though, i can imagine it would be like riding megan fox ;-)
That pic is still a little too small to really tell. Hopefully we can see some full size photos soon!Hope this helps with a bit of comparison. I've been wondering the same thing and found this pic posted elsewhere
