Last posted at end of May and then I had surgery and have been off the computer and have just started driving my Evoque again...I am fine now and physio is working miracles.

A few days after i started back driving I had a deer run into me from the left at the driver front grill!

It hit the drivers side front plastic bumper (just scraped it), head banged on the hood (dented it)and as I swerved away the deer just missed coming through the window (in slow motion) and happened to get its neck stuck momentarily around my drivers mirror (wrecked the mirror and instantly killed the deer) and that caused the deers body to whip around at significant speed and damage the rear door skin leaving a huge gap at the bottom, some residual dents on the drivers door and some other collateral trim damages.

We were lucky...coulda been worse.... of course there are no parts stocked in Canada as yet so a door and mirror and bits had to be ordered from England...they arrived in less than two weeks and the car was painted yesterday, should be all back together by the end of this week.

Driving rentals makes one appreciate the Evoque

wow.. good thing you didnt get hurt. I also had the misfortune of cracking my windshield over the weekend, but of course it's nothing compared to what happen to your Evoque..

I'm glad things didn't go worse! I've seen some nasty deer hits.
Did you cover up your fog lights or are there models that don't come with them?
Also how is your paint coping with all that brush scrapage when playing around in the woods? I'm tempted to line the sides with clear bra material.
