The factory tow setup is a bit of a rip. At least it was from my dealer. They gave me the song and dance that it required 4 hours of labor. And that's about how long the job took based on when I dropped it off and when it was ready. They told me that it had to be wired. I find it hard to believe that the rigs don't come with the wiring kit already attached. And I think the unit looks a little stocky (especially the electrical plug-in.)

I passed on the bar and ball, thinking I could at least get that cheaper aftermarket. That turned out to be a PITA. Since the drawbar is a cat 2 (1 1/4" receiver), there weren't many at my local stores. Two out of three that I tried didn't fit into the receiver fully to the point where the pin would slide in to hold the bar in the receiver. The third one did. I have 3 trailers, all setup for 2" balls. I had a heck of a time finding a 2" ball that would fit the hole in the drawbar. Finally, today I found one at Home Depot that did fit in the hole.

So, I'm finally ready to tow and tomorrow I'm hauling a load of garden trash to the dump. Really looking forward to how my Evoque does on the job. I suspect with the relatively short wheel base, the trailer will jack-knife quicker if I don't watch it closely when backing up.

Vehicle Car Automotive exterior Bumper Auto part

First tow today of wet yard trash. 800 lbs + 900 lbs for the trailer. Pulled like it wasn't even attached. Very happy with the experience. In the course of a year, I'll probably do 12 runs if history is any guide.

Sorry, I can't figure out why the picture flipped.

Towbar, black roof rails, mudflaps.

also want to change the grille and side vents to black.

Change the lettering from silver/gun metal to black.

eventually add the Dynamic kit as well.
Hello chiggy,
Is it possible to buy the grille and side vents in black and the lettering in black?
I am also interested in putting a set of Black 20' wheels in my White Evoque.
Please advise if you have any information on that.

Thank you,
brazeagle

It is possible.

Google duckworth parts uk and they have many evoque accessories (ncluding black grille and side vents). Contact them and they ship worldwide and just tell them what you're looking for.

Black lettering - i saw it on eBay (Uk) last - search for evoque or something and it'll come up.

Tow bar armature already mounted on car upon delivery or an option?

Hi, I am considering attaching a detachable tow ball to mount a bike rack, but the agent here in SG is not helpful to my query: does the evoque come with the tow bar armature already fitted on the underside so just need to purchase the tow ball and attach it, or must an armature tow bar and tow ball be purchased as a set to do the job?

I think the first thing I get for my new Evoque is tint on the rest of the windows and probably gonna black out the headlights and tail-lights, not too dark but enough. Then I'm definitely gonna buy a nice set of wheels and tires for summer cruising for sure. Anyone have any suggestions for wheels and sizes? I may just do 20" Gloss Black Stormer wheels, or maybe the 20" Black Special Edition Supercharged wheels. But I am definitely open to any recommendations or suggestions so please help. FYI my Evoque is Black with a White Contrast roof so I'm kinda gonna go all Batman on it and Black it all out?, but I'm also open to ideas on that front as well. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Guys!!

I tinted my 2 front windows 35%, looks mint and I also added a K40 remote radar detector over the rear view mirror, had it hard wired so you don't see the wire. Also due to our windshields, I had to get a external front plate mount Fast Lane transponder so I mounted it behind my grill so you don't see it, came out great & works great!
I work part time at my friends high end stereo shop & I have already contacted DEI trying to get a wire diagram so I can install a Viper Remote Starter. ( this may be some time before that happens, Oh well) .

4: 3 inch Lift --- ( Coming Soon )
4: Bigger "Off Road Style Tires" --- ( this might have to wait due to lack of accessories )

I have been dreaming of my Evoque when I get it in June. I am planning on getting the black lettering, and hoping that I can get it before, but they are very hard to find. I am planning on painting the silver parts on the underside black, and if I have any money left, get the Kahn 20 Inch rims. My Gray Evoque will be customized.

One more thing... I am thinking about the license plate. Im thinking "DARK" What do you think?

The black lettering can be purchases at Powerful UK. That is where I ordered mine from.

You're getting yours in June? When did you order it? I still haven't heard back from the company I ordered from and I'm trying to approximate my delivery date since they added those 1,000 employees.

When i was looking at the car in March and deciding where to order, one of the dealers called in a panic and told me that if I ordered it on that day, then I could get it into the early June build. If I waited one more day, he told me it would be in the July build.

As of today, I am still expecting it in Early June, and I ordered it Mid March. I know from all the reading on this forum I am crazy to think that, but that is all I have to go on at this point.
