I went and price up a car over the weekend..This is for Australia by the way.

All new Pure editions have to come with the pure tech pack for November delivery.

If you want a November built car, the order must be place in August. This would mean a Jan/Feb 2012 delivery date. Or if you want a Dec built car the order will need to be placed in September with Delivery date Feb/Mar 2012.

For a car ordered from August (this would mean a November 2011 onwards built car) there is no mandatory tech pack on the pure. Therefore I looked at the price for

1. Pure
2. Auto
3. White - non metallic
4. Navigation - $3,400 option
5. Reversing Camera - $670
6. Full Leather - $2,500
7. Panoramic Roof - $1,035
8. Tow Bar - Estimated at $1,500

Total Price for TD4 was roughly $72,000 or SD4 $77,000. I wanted larger wheels 18 or 19 inch but the dealer told me to get them after market as it would be cheaper.

Pretty sure that you cant have the panoramic roof with the 8 speaker stereo system.. Therefor if you want the Pure with the Panoramic roof, you need to spend 4500 and get the Tech pack (which includes upgrade to 11 speaker setup)..

Hi 3voqu3

Is that from the official dealer option lists for Australia. When I was at the dealer we did not see that when looking through the information.

That will be a bugger if it is the case.
Yes its directly from the Aus Option Price list..

It pissed me off too...

Either the price and option list is wrong, or your dealer isn't paying much attention. According to the list I have , you cannot spec Reverse Camera without Front Parking Aid, which is an additional $620. And as 3VOQU3 said, if you want the Pano roof, you need the 11-Speaker audio system which means you must tick the Pure Tech pack option. Full leather seats is $985, and the $2,500 you mentioned is with electrical adjustment, and you will need to spec the heated exterior mirrors $500. Can't be had with the 8-speaker audio system either so basically, the Pure Tech Pack is a prerequisite for many of the other options.

I tried to gauge the value of the Pure Tech Pack, so breaking it down I see leather seats (worth $985 individually), 18" alloys ($1,000), carpet mats ($200), audio connectivity system ($475), which means you get the 8" screen, upgraded sound system, and interior mood lighting for $1840, which doesn't seem too bad.

IMO $1,000 for 18" OEM upgrade and $2,000 for 19" OEM upgrade from stock 17" is pretty good value, so don't know what prices your dealer is thinking.

Hi Spook,

Whilst I spent a lot of time with the dealer, admittedly he was a little unclear of the total packages and option configurations. He did admit this and advised that Landrover Australia had change pricing a few times already. It seems that I need to get the Pure tech pack by all reports. I was going back to the dealer to do a full quote in September but now I have more of the information required.:D
Anyone buy Evoque for less than MSRP in the US?
Yea 500 less. I went to the release party and they gave us $500 off the car. but that is nothing really.
Not bad at all for a car that had so much hype :)

That's about what I figured. I did drive one and I think I'm hooked with LUST. It's been almost 20 years since I wanted a particular vehicle and can not find one like I want on a dealer's lot. So I guess if I pull the trigger, I guess I'll have to order one.

One thing that pisses me off is that there is no European delivery deal available (similar to the Mercedes or BMW). Apparently there is that option, but it doesn't apply to USA citizens. If you get on the Land Rover international site, it clearly says the European deal is available to tourists, but not from orders from the US. I would love to pick up an Evoque at the factory, drive it around the UK for about a week or so and then ship it home. Reading between the lines, it does appear that I could order one from a dealer in the UK, but I would have to do all the export paperwork myself. Mercedes had a great overseas program where EVERYTHING is included in the price (including shipment back to your stateside dealer).

I want either a 5door Pure with almost all the options or one of the higher priced models that include the options.

I wonder if I paid the right price!
I bought a White PURE Premium, without XENON LIGHT KIT (wasn't available), added a Dealer's entertainmet system (DVD) player on the rear seats, Dealer sold me into a 499USD SIMONIZ package for the Interior + Glass Coat for the paint (NOT WORTH IT AT ALL) and also another 499USD for a WINDSHIELD spray protecion from mud, bugs, acid rain, etc and a 36 times full service car wash included (ANOTHER NOT WORTH IT ITEM), so that all added up to USD 54.800 ? Does that sound right to you?

Thank you
brazeagle
I'm curious, our local Land Rover dealership is MSRP "no haggle" pricing. Is that common from Land Rover / Jaguar dealerships? Should I shop around for a dealer willing to haggle on the Evoque or is MSRP about the best I can expect to see?

Well it sounds like they were up-charging you in the signing area. But the price is really close to what I paid. I walked out at 51,000. But I have the windshield replacement program through my dealer. Thoses things are really high, some where in the 1300 dollar range. I got 4 years for 800. In Colorado I go through about 1 or 2 in a year. Insurance is a pain, so I went that route. Plus you got the rear dvd system which is what three grand, right?
