This just popped up - I can't think of any reason why. No off-roading, no water fording, etc.

Any particular thing I should look at before calling the garage?

Have you been using the car a lot recently. There have been a few odd errors popping up when the battery has gone a bit flat, it’s been happening a few times in the U.K. with cars being parked up for @ 9 weeks with no use.

Hi,

did you get to the bottom of this, im having the same issue, code will not go

thanks
I haven't.
Are you seeing the cruise control issue as well?
Since it's the only issue and nothing more than an inconvenience, I've been reluctant to try anything

I’m having the exact issue with EPB and cruise stopped working
No error for cruise control though
The handbrake still works and releases automatically but not with the button

Exactly - I'm doing some work on it today. I'll check the fuses. Will update
My local garage plugged mine in after trying 2 park brake modules and 2 different switches
Turns out my fault is with the switches that are stuck in the release position
I’ve ordered a brand new switch to try
Hopefully all sorted when it arrives

Great!! Let me (us) know whether it works or not.
How did you find out about the switches being stuck? You're talking about the one on the console, correct?

BTW: My adventure with the fuses didn't change anything :(

Fitted the switch and it’s all fixed
Error gone and all works as should
Make sure you get the correct switch with numbers and letters that match your switch
As I’ve found out that they have to be the same
Ps I have one spare here if numbers match yours

My local garage plugged in to clear the fault and it wouldn’t clear , his diagnostic equipment showed live data from modules so when looking at it he tested applying the switch and it showed apply when pulling but when rested it was showing release without pressing / hence why it stops cruise working
What year is yours & model ?
You must get a switch with matching numbers and code

It's awesome that you got it sorted out!
What exactly do you mean by "matching numbers and code"?
Mine is a LHD (in US) 2013 Pure Plus. How much work was involved in actually replacing the switch?

It’s really easy
To take the EPB switch out
Remove the centre console by following the instructions in the link below
Once you have the console out there are 4 7mm bolts holding the wiring harness in place to remove then
You can see the switch is held in by 3 small torx screws
On the side of the switch is a sticker with the numbers on , take a photo close up of it and search on Google and it will give you lots of results on eBay , I couldn’t get a new switch here in the uk so had to use a second hand one , you may be able to have more luck in the us
