Have you been using the car a lot recently. There have been a few odd errors popping up when the battery has gone a bit flat, it’s been happening a few times in the U.K. with cars being parked up for @ 9 weeks with no use.
I haven't.
Are you seeing the cruise control issue as well?
Since it's the only issue and nothing more than an inconvenience, I've been reluctant to try anything
My local garage plugged mine in after trying 2 park brake modules and 2 different switches
Turns out my fault is with the switches that are stuck in the release position
I’ve ordered a brand new switch to try
Hopefully all sorted when it arrives
Great!! Let me (us) know whether it works or not.
How did you find out about the switches being stuck? You're talking about the one on the console, correct?
BTW: My adventure with the fuses didn't change anything

Fitted the switch and it’s all fixed
Error gone and all works as should
Make sure you get the correct switch with numbers and letters that match your switch
As I’ve found out that they have to be the same
Ps I have one spare here if numbers match yours
Just ordered a new switch from the local dealer. Made sure they VIN matched it too.
Project is ready for this weekend - Now I just have to find my torx set
