All of the other luxury vehicles up north have remote start as an option, some even know to turn on your defroster in the winter. Why does the Evoque not have remote start as an option and not even as an add-on? The dealer said it was too complicated to have remote start with keyless entry, but Cadillac doesn't seem to have issues with it.

I work part time at my friends high end stereo shop & I have already contacted DEI trying to get a wire diagram so I can install a Viper Remote Starter. ( this may be some time before that happens, Oh well).
I will keep everyone updated if anything happens...

I actually just talked to DEI in Calf. last week and seems that one of there support techs has a 4 door Evoque!! I told them to PLEASE step it up on figuring out the wire diagram for the remote starts!!

We have an "IN" now, lets see how soon this may happen!!

Please keep us informed on this!! When I talked to DIRECTED ELECTRONICS (Viper) last month, they still had nothing & one of there tech guys has a 4 door Evoque...I figured the guys north of the border would have figured this out soon or later!!

Was -14 F in Minneapolis today. Anyone experience some weird engine noises in the extreme cold? I hear the engine making some "metal grinding" sounds until it has fully warmed up. Alarming to me, although does not seem to affect performance, etc.
