Can you please send me the email as well ? I was driving lost power and pulled over … I have a p0016 p0026 … codes [email protected]
Hi I have the whole engine locked at TDC with the special tools and now I want to install new cam actuator sprockets and timing chain. The only question I have is what is the correct clock position for the actuator sprockets..a lot of stuff needs to be taken apart now and you also need some special tools. its quite the job. idk your experience but i wouldn’t recommend this job if you’re not experienced. i’m more than willing to answer any questions you have if you decide to tackle the job yourself.
Welcome to the forum! Sorry that you joined due to a major issue.
If you want to PM me your e-mail address, I can send you an exploded view of the cylinder head from the factory service manual. This shows both of the cam shaft position sensors, exhaust and intake, as well as both of the variable valve timing solenoid valves. Could be that it is one of these solenoid valves that is causing your problem. Of course, this is just a guess on my part. Seeing all of the parts involved, my help you better understand what the shops are telling you about the work involved.
